Ally Hughes (E-RYT 800) is the Director of Education and International Retreats and is the Co-Founder of True Moon Yoga Studio.
Ally has dedicated more than 15 years into the practice of yoga and has been leading domestic and international yoga retreats, teacher trainings, workshops, and classes for over 10 years.
Her yoga journey began in Hawaii in 2005 where she studied Mysore Ashtanga Yoga, under Norman Allen. In 2009 she began to expand her studies into other styles of yoga and vedic philosophy, deepening her understanding of anatomy, bio-mechanics, physiology, and the relation of somatic movement in healing trauma.
Ally has integrated this experience and wisdom into her teaching style offering transformational yoga retreats and teacher trainings. She has taught over 5000 hours in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Rocket Ashtanga, Yin, and Trauma Informed yoga teacher trainings, workshops, classes and holds accreditation as a 200-hour Teacher Training School through Yoga Alliance.
Ally’s teaching style beautifully blends the hard and soft aspects of yoga. Her classes are accessible to all level practitioners, while challenging one to dive deeper finding strength, courage and the ability to have fun.
Her classes are often described as adult play time, but Don't let her easy going and adventurous side fool you. She has the power to take you on a serious meditative journey. Come prepared to challenge, but not judge, yourself to levels you never knew you could reach!
